Vendor Information for Arriving in Gold Bar

Loading/Unloading
Shade and tables will be set up in various places and we will have some spots marked for returning vendors. Please be patient upon arriving and we will do our best to get you into your space quickly. Once you are unloaded you may drive your vehicle down to the river to set up camp. We will have the path we'd like you to take, marked off with colored markers.

Facilities:
There will be two Honey Buckets on the west side of the entrance, and one further down the road on the right at the end of the clothesline before the garage.
There are 2 showers available, as well as 2 normal bathrooms. We ask that to help us conserve water, (a real issue in August from our well system), you minimize your use of these facilities unless neccesary

There will be some limited refridgeration space, designated for vendor items. This will conveniently (at least for the cooks), not in the kitchen. We will have some sort of basic facilities for those needing food and drink service, during times when we are too busy to boil water for tea, keep Diet Pepsi cold, store fat free cheese and other things that make the kitchen staff roll their eyes.

Setting up Camp

Tent Camping:
Unload your tent and other camping gear on the east side of the property and bring your car back up and park where directed.

Car Camping:
Park you car on the west side of the property and leave it there for the weekend if you are camping in your car.
We will have car camping areas marked off, as well as areas for those camping in tents.

Other Accomodations:
If you are staying somewhere else please ask us where you should park.

We would appreciate you keeping the number of trips in your vehicle down to the river to a minimum. There is a chance we will park you in, depending on the number of vehicles. It wears out the turf and compacts the soil. We may use potato guns on you if we find your driving habits offensive ... and we don't fire warning shots

Friday Evening:
Since you all stagger in at different times, we will have appetizers available, as well as refreshments for those in need.
Once you have unloaded, set out your plants, set-up your camp, come to the deck on the south side of the house, grab a drink and relax.

Tables:

We try to provide everyone with at least two tables. If you can bring your own tables, that would be very helpful.

Are you bringing tables?

How many tables total will you need from us?

Sawhorses:

  Would you like sawhorses?

Shade:

Shade is limited. We do our best to set up various canopies and tarps where possible.
Nursery vendors get the shade first.

Do you need shade? Will you be bringing your own canopy?

Vendor Placement:

It is going to be very tight this year, so please be patient when you arrive. If you are not patient, you should arrive earlier to claim one of the unclaimed spots.

Many of you have favorite spots from previous Frolics. Please let us know if you would like a particular spot so I can mark your vendor area.

1. Plants 2. Kitchen 3. People

We ask that you take your shower in the evening and keep it as brief as possible. There are two showers in two real bathrooms in addition to three Honey Buckets on site. Camping is down by the Skykomish River which is refreshingly cool at the end of a hot day. Bring a suit and suitable footgear to get down the rocky bank. We will have a few inner tubes on hand.
