Specialty nurseries are rapidly disappearing due to the aggressive marketing done by the large wholesale growers. Many of the new plants introduced by these commercial growers are first discovered or grown by keen growers operating small specialty nurseries. Please support them if you are interested in a diverse range of plants that have been correctly identified and tested to thrive in your gardens.

Lectures and demonstrations by various nursery personalities and garden vendors are planned for both days.

Jerry Addington of Courting Frogs Nursery, carnivorous plant guru, will demystify growing these enchanting plants in your garden Twig Diva and award winning NW Flower and Garden Show designer, Vanca Lumsden of ALBE Adventure Twig Hunters, will demonstrate her flair for staples and twigs and show you how to create a unique garden structure.

The Fern Madame, Judith Jones, will lead a garden tour of the Fronderosa.

If you want to take a slower more scenic route you may go east on I-90 either from I-5 or I-405 to the Preston/Fall City exit. Arriving in Gold Bar:

We are located on the east end of Gold Bar, on the right side of HWY 2 as you are headed east. There will be signs indicating where to turn right onto Dorman Road just after the Mountain View Diner. Follow Dorman Road over Rail Road tracks, follow road left (east) at the end of the fenced field, to 408 Ave SE and 172 Street SE. Turn right (south) at 408 Ave SE, which turns into 172 Street SE when it curves left (east). We are at the end of 172nd Street SE, on the right side with big greenhouses. Turn right into the driveway. We will have parking staff coordinating, please be patient while we find you a spot.
